Stratton & Holborow has become established over a period of 50 years as one of the south west's premier firm's of
Chartered Surveyors. Offering an extensive professional service to local, national and international clients the practice deals with all aspects of property across the region.
Originally a Truro based partnership formed in 1960 between Geoffrey Holborow, then resident agent to the Williams family, and Richard Stratton, a land agent to the Duchy of Cornwall, the practice grew to include offices in Devon, Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.
In 1989 the firm merged with the commercial and residential practice of Taylor, Lane and Creber to become owned by TSB plc (latterly Lloyds TSB plc) and known as Stratton Creber. Following a review of policy, a
management buy-out was agreed in 1997 which included all of the Rural and Building Surveying Divisions, together with the Commercial Surveying Division in Cornwall and elements of the Residential Agency and Residential Management Businesses.
From October of that year the practice reverted to its former name of Stratton & Holborow and now operates from two principal offices in Truro and Exeter. Now incorporated as Stratton & Holborow Limited, the Firm has 9 Directors/Shareholders in addition to 4 senior members.. These include Geoffrey Holborow, one of the original founding partners, and Tim Key, a past President of the Rural Practice Division of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
